Mature Students

Some courses require a prerequisite course to be completed before admission. Prerequisites are listed on each course page on our site. For courses with no prerequisite, students are welcome to register and begin anytime!

Any mature students who have completed applicable prerequisite courses in an Ontario high school after 1999 can submit an official Ontario Student Transcript, final report card, or credit counselling summary via email.

Mature students with post-secondary coursework in a specific subject area, relevant work-related experience, or past enrolment at an Ontario high school before September 1999 are advised to reach out to Guidance prior to registration for Prerequisite Waiver Application. Students may qualify for a prerequisite waiver where they have completed prerequisite content matching the topics and learning expectations outlined within the Ontario curriculum.

Should you intend to obtain an OSSD, reach out to Guidance Department to make an Equivalent Credit Assessment Application. Successful completion of relevant studies outside Ontario may entitle students to equivalent credits applicable toward their OSSD. Following application review, which normally takes 2-3 business days, our Guidance Team will advise students of the total granted equivalent credits, alongside a detailed breakdown of remaining credits required to satisfy diploma-completion criteria.
